Sic Bo Gameplay
Sic Bo is played on a rectangular table
not dissimilar to a roulette table, with a layout consisting
of numbers and dice faces that represent all the combinations
that can be made with the dice the game is played with.
The game uses three dice and a table with a variety
of betting options on the roll of those dice. The object
of the game is to try to predict the outcome of a roll
of the three dice.
The dice are shaken and rolled by the dealer, using
a special dice box, which keeps the dice hidden until
all bets are placed. In the case of an online game,
the numbers for each dice are generated using random
number generators.
The players try to predict the outcome of a roll by
placing their bets on the appropriate places on the
table layout, which can vary from casino to casino (as
can the available odds and payouts).
Winning numbers and combinations then light up on the
table surface, to indicate which players and bets are
winners. In many ways, these flashing lights are about
the most appealing part of a game that is heavily loaded
in favour of the house.
Losing bets are then raked in by the house, while the
dealer pays off the winning bets. The players then place
their bets for the next roll of the dice and the game
continues.
